Fundraising

The Dollars for Scholars Campaign is the primary fundraiser for the Westside PTO for this year. There are no events to attend or items to sell. Every $1 you give benefits the students and teachers at Westside! In 2008-9 we raised about $17,000! Last year the PTO was able to provide funding for our academic departments, purchase TV's for the commons and DirecTV service to the school, plus we awarded $12,000 in scholarships to Westside seniors.

Your contribution makes a difference, no matter if it is $5 or $500. Participation is simple--write a check and you're done! No gift wrap catalogs, no auction dinners. Donation forms are now available here or a formal invitation to participate was also mailed to your home. Please consider making a difference for every student by making a family donation to Dollars for Scholars, and ask your employer about matching fund opportunities.  Here is a sampling of companies that may offer a matching program.

Remember, the PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all contributions, large or small, are tax deductible and appreciated.  Thank you to all our 2009-2010 donors!!

Support Westside just by Shopping!  (updated info for 2009-10 coming soon!)

Westside has just joined the new Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program, which takes the place of the Kroger Share Card Program.  Simply give this form to the cashier, and the WHS code will be programmed to your KrogerPlus Card.  A portion of each purchase you make with your KrogerPlus Card will be donated to Westside!  The donations the WHS PTO receives through the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program will be shared equally by the Athletic Booster Club (ABC), the Westside Music Boosters and the PTO!
